In Q1 2025, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency supported investment projects for a value of EUR 670 million, which will contribute to the creation of about a thousand new jobs. Most of projects are technologically advanced and highly innovative, mainly in the BSS-IT (Business Support System – IT) sector. And the vast majority is Polish capital.
Compared to the corresponding first quarter of 2024, the value of declared projects increased from EUR 344.6 million. Currently, PAIH supports 120 active projects, with a total declared value of nearly EUR 10 billion and employment of 22,000 people. It is also worth noting that over 25% of these planned investments are projects from Poland.
Poland is responsible for 5.5% of the gross value added of the cosmetics market in the EU. In terms of share in exports, it ranks fifth in the EU (8%) and ninth in the world (3.8%), and 65% of cosmetics exported from Poland go to the EU partners. In 2023, the Polish cosmetics market was worth over PLN 25 billion; by 2028, it may reach a value close to PLN 30 billion. Experts are optimistic about the future, predicting further growth of PLN 0.8 billion per year.

The Polish cosmetics industry today consists of over 1300 manufacturers, from large enterprises to micro-entrepreneurs. They create around 65,000 jobs across the value chain, accounting for more than 10% of all employment in the EU cosmetics industry.
Another success story comes from the furniture industry, where Poland is considered to be among the world’s elite. Warsaw is the fourth largest furniture exporter in the world and the third largest in Europe. Home furnishings are sought after all over the world, with the USA being one of the top export destinations.
However, the latest designs and competitive pricing are not the only strengths of the Polish furniture industry. E-commerce has become a Polish specialty. Thanks to online stores, high-quality furniture can be purchased, while furnishings are packaged and prepared for both national and international shipping.
