Wix and PAYSTRAX deliver more success stories in Lithuania

The leading website-building platform Wix is establishing a Vilnius Design Studio in Lithuania. This decision will strengthen the company’s global design capabilities and also expand Wix’s team in Lithuania.

Currently, Wix serves over 282 million users worldwide. The company is one of the leading and most advanced website-building platforms, offering cutting-edge solutions for individual creators and professional agencies alike. The Vilnius Design Studio will be Wix’s third design center worldwide, joining existing hubs in Tel Aviv and Kyiv. It is expected that the new design specialists joining the team will increase Wix’s workforce in Lithuania by 10%.

The new Vilnius Design Studio will become part of Wix’s global design guild, an international community of over 300 designers, joining Wix’s other two design hubs in Tel Aviv and Ukraine. The creative hub will focus on developing innovative website and branding design solutions for Wix users and agencies worldwide.

Lithuania, especially Vilnius, demonstrates outstanding potential in the tech and creative industries. In recent years, the local design community has been growing at a double-digit rate, whereas a large portion of Lithuanian designers have studied abroad and gained international experience. This provides a unique perspective and enriches the local design scene with fresh ideas.

In this scenario, also PAYSTRAX, a payment processing solutions provider, has announced further expansion of its Lithuanian operations. The company, which has successfully grown its presence in both Vilnius and Klaipėda, plans to strengthen its team across multiple departments in 2025, including Commercial, IT, and Finance.

The fintech company, which established its headquarters in the capital Vilnius in 2018 and opened a second office in Klaipėda in 2022, has demonstrated remarkable growth in Lithuania. The company has offices in the UK and Iceland, but the majority of PAYSTRAX’s team is based in Lithuania, with the company currently employing over 80 professionals across two cities.

PAYSTRAX provides payment solutions for both e-commerce and POS terminal merchants, offering acquiring services across European markets. The company serves customers in 23 countries across the EEA and UK, with transaction volumes reaching approximately 490 million euros in 2024.

Lithuania has the level of education, expertise, and professionalism of specialists which aligns perfectly with the company’s business goals and supports its expansion. Lithuanian offices drive a significant portion of the company’s European operations, including finance, IT, product development, and customer support.

Looking ahead, PAYSTRAX plans to expand its product offerings, including the introduction of new currencies in its multi-currency settlement services and the launch of a Payment Facilitator program, that enables businesses to offer card acquiring services under their brand, providing seamless and customized payment experience for their customers. The company is also working on implementing AI solutions across its internal processes to enhance operational efficiency.
