The mission of Polish companies to Central America, organized by PAIH’s office in Mexico, took place last week. During the five-day visit, participants held a series of meetings and B2B talks with representatives of industry organizations, federal and regional administrations, and business representatives. The talks were held in Mexico City, as well as in the states of Querétaro and Guanajuato, and Guatemala City.
As part of the mission, took place the Poland-Mexico Business Forum. One of the main topics discussed during the event was the prospects for business development in the local market and cooperation in strategic sectors for Poland and Mexico. Polish companies could learn about the conditions of doing business in this country, while experts from the Mexican market talked about HR, accounting, and tax as well as formal and legal issues.
The second part of the economic mission took place between the 24-26.10 in Guatemala City. Guatemala’s economy is the largest in Central America. The country has free trade agreements with among others, the USA, Mexico, and the EU.
There are a lot of opportunities in the Guatemalan market in areas such as light industry, industrial automation, construction, automotive, infrastructure, green technologies, BPO, and clothing and textiles. Guatemala is trying to develop projects within the framework of the Public-Private Partnership, which creates great opportunities for Polish companies operating in the field of infrastructure development and urban mobility.
